Who We Are

Jessica Anderson
Resident Manager

An alum of Indian River State College in southeastern Florida, Jessica has done well to never stray too far from either the sun or the beach, as her time working for hotels and resorts in Vero Beach, Florida & Kona, Hawaii easily proves.

She has done well to continue in such a tradition, while living and working in The Golden State, and has been part of the Wilson Artisan Wineries family since 2014.

Although it’s hard for her to offer just one recommendation for visitors to Sonoma County, as there are simply so many wonderful things about the area, she is quick to at least shortlist a trip to Armstrong Redwoods for those who may inquire, while also encouraging our guests to not stop there, as delicious clam chowder and crab sandwiches await at the Bodega Bay Marina and Spud Point out on the coast.  On the return route, including a drive down Sweet Water Springs Road is a must, as she feels it’s easily one of the prettiest hidden roads in Sonoma County.

Once back inland, Jessica loves to enjoy a glass of Primitivo from Soda Rock Winery, particularly the Rockpile Ranch Reserve, as well as a Moscow Mule from Duke’s in downtown Healdsburg.

For dining, Seaside Metal Oyster Bar in Guerneville is an easy yes, while it’s almost impossible for her to say no to a good crème brûlée for dessert.

In her spare time, Jessica enjoys hiking, yoga, horseback riding, boating and gardening, as well as travelling and exploring new places, with Thailand being a particular favorite thus far.

Leah Gold
Inn Associate

A member of the Healdsburg City Council from 2000 – 2004, as well as serving one term as its Mayor in 2003, Leah brought not only her esteemed credentials, but also her love of the community, to the Wilson Artisan Wineries family in late 2016.

Originally from the Seattle area, she is an alum of Western Washington University and also obtained a Master’s Degree in Education from San Francisco State.

Apart from her dedication to developing curricula for adult learners, Leah is a huge fan of music and has attended the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival for the past 25 years!  She also pays close attention to the local summer concerts in both Healdsburg & Cloverdale and is quick to encourage anyone visiting the area to be sure to do the same.

Another passion of hers would be travel, which she has done extensively to date, including trips across Southeast Asia, Europe & Latin America, with a trip to Argentina being a particular standout thus far.

Leah is also a committed volunteer at the Burning Man festival, which brings tens of thousands of people to Nevada’s Black Rock Desert each year.

Will Case
Breakfast Chef

An identical twin, who originally hails from The Palmetto State, Will joined the team at the Grape Leaf Inn in October 2016, bringing with him over 15 years of experience in the restaurant and hospitality industry.

A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, he understandably could never live without sharp knives, which serves to all of our advantage, as Will has quickly become known for creating gourmet masterpieces in the kitchen.

Although he loves exploring all of the beautiful places California has to offer, an ideal night would be spent on the other coast in Rockland, Maine, dining at his favorite restaurant, Primo. For dessert, a Mud Pie would be in order, washed down with a glass of Matrix Pinot Noir Reserve from the Bacigalupi Vineyard.

Apart from traveling and cuisine, Will enjoys spending time with his young daughter, Melodie, as well as farming, gardening, carpentry and watching women’s roller derby.

Matthew Hughes
Reservations Manager

Born and raised in the small town of Glen Ellen, California, Matthew joined the team at Wilson Artisan Wineries in February 2016, bringing with him a Bachelor’s Degree in Resort & Lodging Management from CSU, Chico, as well as seven years of hospitality, travel and tourism experience.

His career thus far has seen him transported out east to South Carolina, down south to New Orleans and across the pond over to Manchester, England, before finally returning home to Northern California once again.

A fan of craft ale and Scottish Highland single malts, Matthew has slowly begun developing his palate for wine as well, quickly being drawn to the Chardonnays of St. Anne’s Crossing and the Pinot Noirs of Matrix Winery.

Outside of the office, Matthew is a keen hiker and found the Kortum Trail through the Sonoma Coast State Park to be one of the most beautiful in Sonoma County.

He’s also a lover of Bay Area sports, as well as all animals, taking the time to volunteer each week at the Sonoma Humane Society in Healdsburg.

Matthew has a deep passion for travel and is constantly planning new ways to add to his 19 countries visited thus far, with his trip to Santorini, Greece being one of his most stunning destinations to date.
